A Tier 1 main contractor is seeking an experienced General Foreman for a major building project in Limerick. This is a key site-based leadership role responsible for day-to-day operations, subcontractor coordination, and maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily and weekly site programmes and ensure clear communication of plans to subcontractors.
- Participate in weekly meetings with the client’s construction team and internal management.
- Maintain a detailed site diary, tracking labour levels and daily site activities.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day running of the site, driving outputs while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
- Help deliver the project in line with agreed production targets and schedule.
- Coordinate, manage, and motivate subcontractors and direct labour on-site.
- Provide leadership and support to site teams, maintaining a professional and solution-oriented approach.
- Assist in the control and efficient use of site equipment and materials.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Foreperson or Site Supervisor role within construction.
- Strong understanding of site-based operations and the construction process.
- Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Fluent English and legal eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Proven track record of coordinating subcontractors and managing a site team.
Salary & Benefits:
- €70,000 – €80,000 (Depending on experience)
