I am seeking an experienced General Foreperson to join a busy construction team for a leading Residential Developer in Cork on a 2-year fixed-term contract.
Responsibilities:
- Attend and contribute to daily coordination meetings.
- Conduct continuous inspections of site works, promptly raising and resolving issues to ensure quality.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and civil engineering/groundworks contractors.
- Complete daily labour and materials allocation sheets accurately.
- Set up and maintain logistics walkways, including vehicle and pedestrian routes.
- Supervise works from house foundations through to first and second fix, including external finishes, paving, boundary walls, and landscaping.
- Effectively coordinate the movement of labour, machinery, and materials using site coordination and logistics software.
- Maintain a secure and safe site by enforcing Health & Safety best practices.
- Coordinate subcontractors and service providers to ensure timely handover to the finishing teams.
Requirements:
- Preferably a trade background.
- Proven ability to meet challenging time and quality targets.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills.
- Methodical, detail-oriented, and accurate in work approach.
- Excellent team player with the ability to work with people at all levels.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to take responsibility for completing assigned tasks.
