Site Foreman – Public Realm Project
A well-established civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to join their team on a public realm project in Ramelton, Co. Donegal. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction professional with a strong background in public realm works to take a leadership role on a high-quality urban improvement scheme.
The company has a strong pipeline of civil and public realm projects across the northwest, offering long-term career progression and stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities on a public realm project
- Lead site crews and subcontractors, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and programme timelines
- Maintain high standards of health & safety compliance on-site
- Liaise with site management, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
- Monitor quality of works and resolve on-site issues as they arise
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports and progress updates
- Support planning and logistics for materials, plant, and labour
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Foreman role on civil construction projects
- Essential: Strong public realm experience (streetscapes, paving, urban works, landscaping, etc.)
- Proven ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively
- Solid understanding of health & safety regulations and site compliance
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Available to start immediately or at short notice
Salary & Benefits:
- €65,000 – €75,000 per annum
