Electrical Manager

Our client deliver services in Renewable Energy projects and offer Engineering Design & Consultancy Services across Ireland and the UK. Services include HV/MV Installation, Commissioning, Operation, and Maintenance.

Responsibilities/Duties:
- Manage, operate, and control the campus HV network, including coordination with Asset Care for HV maintenance activities and advanced planning to achieve operational efficiencies.
- Draft HV switching plans, issue PTWs (Permit to Work) and LOAs (Limitation of Access), and ensure adherence to electrical safety rules during HV activities.
- Collaborate with Asset Care, Asset Management, and project teams for the planning and delivery of new HV substations and HV network upgrades.
- Liaise with relevant authorities regarding 110kV/10kV asset operations, maintenance, and planned works, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
- Conduct quarterly inspections of HV substations, update SLDs, monitor SCADA systems, and coordinate with providers for maintenance of system hardware and software.
- Perform HV cable location services and coordinate after-hours HV switching and maintenance activities when necessary to minimize operational disruptions, with overtime compensation for out-of-hours work.
Qualifications / Skills:
- 6+ years of industry experience.
- High Voltage commissioning experience is essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
- A valid, clean driving licence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Goal-oriented with strong people skills.
