Due to continued growth, new contracts and an extensive pipeline of work, one of Ireland’s top Utility Contractors are hiring an Electrical Engineer. This is a permanent position in the Operations Team working on projects for clients which include ESB. This position will be working on projects in Dublin.
Duties:
- Project Planning: Planning and overseeing electrical projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Conducting tests on electrical systems and components, identifying, and resolving issues.
- Equipment Maintenance: Managing the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Research and Development: Engaging in research to stay updated on new technologies and incorporating innovations into projects.
- Safety Compliance: Ensuring that electrical systems comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Collaboration: Collaborating with other engineers and professionals in multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
- Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation for electrical designs, specifications, and project plans.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction in electrical systems and processes.
Requirements:
- Experience in producing Risk assessments and Method Statements,
- Quality assurance background desirable,
- Commissioning experience on electrical systems, preferable EV Charger equipment,
- Good IT skills, desirable proficient in CAD,
- Proficient in Work Management Systems (WMS),
- Full clean driver’s license essential.
- Has the ability to travel and conduct site surveys,
- Experience in civil works desirable,
- Manpower Management and reporting
- Confident, motivated and can work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
- Time management abilities to meet targets.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Integrity and respect for confidentiality and privacy.
Salary:
- Salary circa €70k – €80k DOE
