Electrical Construction Manager

Seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to lead projects in industrial, substation, and renewable energy sectors. Based in Munster. Oversee complex electrical systems, ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction. Experience as a Person in Charge of Works (PICW) is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects.
  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of HV/MV systems (switchgear, transformers, relays) and associated civil works.
  • Manage safe work practices, permit-to-work systems, and site safety coordination, acting as a key point of responsibility for HSE compliance.
  • Supervise multidisciplinary teams, including electricians, engineers, civil contractors, and subcontractors, to meet project deadlines and budgets.
  • Act as the primary liaison with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to align on project objectives and resolve issues.
  • Oversee HV/MV cable installation, jointing, termination, and testing, ensuring compliance with technical standards.
  • Review and manage project documentation, including schedules, drawings, and progress reports.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineer (Level 7/8 or equivalent).
  • 7+ years’ experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role in industrial, substation, or renewables.
  • PICW experience or certification strongly preferred, with proven ability to manage safe systems of work.
  • Expertise in HV/MV systems, safety standards, and renewable technologies.
  • Strong team management and project delivery skills.
  • Full driver’s license required.
  • Familiarity with MS Project, AutoCAD, or SCADA systems a plus.
