Experienced Ecologist required to join an established multidisciplinary consultancy delivering major projects across Ireland!
This is an excellent opportunity for an Ecologist who wants to work on a diverse project portfolio, gain strong field and reporting experience, and progress their career within a supportive and technically strong team. Working as an Ecologist, you will contribute to projects from early feasibility and habitat assessment through to planning and delivery, supporting major infrastructure, renewable energy, residential, and commercial developments nationwide.
Projects:
- Large-scale renewable energy and grid infrastructure
- National and regional road / transport schemes
- Residential and mixed-use developments
- Public realm and strategic infrastructure projects
Key Responsibilities:
- Habitat surveys and ecological impact assessments
- Appropriate Assessment (AA) screening and Natura Impact Statements (NIS)
- Protected species surveys, including bat surveys
- Technical report writing and client / stakeholder liaison
- Supporting planning applications and environmental deliverables
Requirements:
- Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related discipline
- Experience in ecological consultancy within Ireland
- Strong field survey, reporting, and assessment skills
- Knowledge of Irish and EU environmental legislation
- Full clean driving licence is required
- Desirable: protected species licences and GIS experience
Salary:
- €55,000 – €65,000 DOE
