A growing Interior fitout company in Dublin have a new opportunity for an experienced Design Manager to take the lead and drive high‑quality design and delivery across residential and commercial projects.
This role blends active design work, team leadership, design oversight, as the company grows and develop into new sectors.
The Design Manager will work across concept development, design execution, and project reviews — while setting standards and guiding a small, talented team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality design work from concept through to completion
- Set and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices
- Review and refine concepts, layouts, and final design outputs
- Plan and prioritise workloads to meet project deadlines
- Work closely with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and procurement
- Provide feedback, mentoring, and support to the design team
- Contribute to a collaborative, organised, and inspiring design space
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as a Design Manager, Lead Designer, or Senior Designer within a fitout consultancy or contractor
- Strong hands‑on background in residential interiors is preferred, and commercial experience is beneficial
- A portfolio showing both creative design and technical execution
- Previous experience managing and mentoring junior team members
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- IT proficiency should include SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to balance design delivery with leadership responsibilities
- Experience in a fast‑paced or scaling environment
- Full driving licence is required
