Design Engineer with 8-10+ years experience, required to join a leading Facades contractor. As Senior Design Engineer you will be based in the head office in North Dublin. The successful Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the works of the engineering team and ensuring that projects are run according to plan.
Role:
- You will report to the Director.
- Organise and ensure adequate supervision of construction works on the site.
- Maintain a comprehensive diary constituting a detailed work history of construction work and significant happenings on the site.
- Keep record of all information relating to delays, industrial disputes, adverse physical conditions and disputes with sub-contractors and landowners.
- Ensure that the works are constructed as required.
- Ensure that all day work records and all variations from specification are approved and documented prior to execution.
- Be aware at all times of the duties of contractors, sub-contractors and others under Safety, Health and Welfare at Work legislation.
- Attend regular meetings and ensure that proceedings are minuted for circulation to all relevant personnel.
- Assist with the administration of the contract (Capital Works Management Framework Public Works Contract)
Requirements:
- The successful Engineer must have minimum 8+ years experience acting as a Design/ Resident Engineer.
- Must have a high standard of technical training and experience including, administrative experience.
- Level 8 Degree in civil or structural engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in supervising and inspecting the construction of roadworks including pavement, drainage, ducting, signage, lighting, etc.
- Driving license essential.
Salary:
- Excellent salary circa €80k – €90k+ (depending on experience)
