Design Coordinator
We are seeking a Design Coordinator for a Tier 1 construction company, based in our client’s Sligo regional office. Our client is a renowned leader in the field, specializing in the design, manufacture, and installation of 2D panelised and 3D volumetric modular structures. Having a track record of exceeding expectations and boasting over 30 years of expertise in off-site construction, our client is dedicated to upholding outstanding standards. As an integral part of their design team, your role will involve close collaboration with numerous stakeholders to ensure the prompt and precise delivery of design-related information crucial for the successful execution of on-site projects.
Role:
- Ensure a thorough examination of health, safety, environmental, and quality aspects during the design phase.
- Contribute insights for the selection of design sub-contractors.
- Work closely with the procurement team to finalize long lead items in alignment with the project schedule.
- Aid the Construction Manager/Quantity Surveyor in validating compatibility between Employers Requirements and Cost Proposals.
- Conduct and document design meetings, ensuring the timely generation of information in accordance with the design program.
Requirements:
- Degree in Architectural Technology or similar field
- 2+ years of work experience in a construction or manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of diverse client procurement methods.
- Proficiency in utilizing design software such as Revit or comparable tools.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to plan, program, and manage workloads. Additionally, a solid understanding of site/contract procedures, building regulations, planning permission processes, time management, and commercial awareness.
Salary:
- Excellent salary circa €40k-€50k
