Construction Planner
A Senior Construction Planner is required to provide full planning oversight for upcoming construction projects, with the first major assignment based in Huntsown, Dublin commencing before Christmas for a leading civil engineering contractor . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner to play a key role in the delivery of high-profile developments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for programme creation, progress monitoring, reporting, and planning governance across all project stages. This role requires strong construction knowledge, excellent communication skills, and advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
Duties:
• Lead project planning activities from pre-construction through to completion
• Develop, manage, and update detailed project programmes using Primavera P6
• Monitor progress, identify delays, and implement mitigation strategies
• Coordinate planning input with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders
• Prepare progress reports, lookahead schedules, dashboards, and critical path analyses
• Ensure planning deliverables meet contractual, client, and internal standards
• Support tender planning, including methodology, sequencing, and resource loading
• Attend project meetings and clearly communicate programme status and risks
• Provide guidance to junior planning staff as required
Requirements:
• Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in construction planning with a main contractor or developer
• Proven track record delivering planning services on large-scale projects
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and critical path methodology
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong stakeholder management experience, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Immediate availability or short notice period preferred
Salary & Benefits:
• €95k–€105k, depending on experience
