Construction Buyer
Experienced Construction Buyer required to join a leading builder developer in Wexford. The successful candidate will have at least 4+ years of experience in a similar purchasing role within the construction industry, ideally with a main contractor or developer. Candidates coming from a builders’ merchants or supplier background with relevant experience will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with suppliers and site teams to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Track and reconcile purchase orders, proof of delivery documents, and invoices.
- Plan and coordinate inbound deliveries in line with project schedules.
- Maintain an organised system for supplier quotations, pricing, and order histories.
- Support Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and site teams with procurement needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a purchasing role within construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, plant, and suppliers.
- Excellent organisational and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in procurement software (EVOLM experience is an advantage).
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
Package:
- Salary: €50,000 – €60,000 (depending on experience)
- Benefits: Package to be discussed at interview
