Construction Buyer

Experienced Construction Buyer required to join a leading builder developer in Wexford. The successful candidate will have at least 4+ years of experience in a similar purchasing role within the construction industry, ideally with a main contractor or developer. Candidates coming from a builders’ merchants or supplier background with relevant experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with suppliers and site teams to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Track and reconcile purchase orders, proof of delivery documents, and invoices.
  • Plan and coordinate inbound deliveries in line with project schedules.
  • Maintain an organised system for supplier quotations, pricing, and order histories.
  • Support Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and site teams with procurement needs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a purchasing role within construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, plant, and suppliers.
  • Excellent organisational and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in procurement software (EVOLM experience is an advantage).
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.

Package:

  • Salary: €50,000 – €60,000 (depending on experience)
  • Benefits: Package to be discussed at interview
