Commercial Manager:

 

Commercial Manager required to join one of Irelands leading Mechanical & Electrical Contractors in their Dublin Office. The successful Commercial Manager will have worked on projects in some or all, of the following sectors: Pharmaceutical, Data Centre, healthcare, food processing, and public sector.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work on key business actions, to be monthly agreements with the Commercial Director.
  • Quantify, budget, and manage project costs.
  • Review and approve contract terms, manage commercial correspondence with clients and the supply chain.
  • Oversee and manage commercial aspects of projects, working closely with procurement and project delivery teams.
  • Provide input and guidance on tender submissions and projects by analyzing options to meet client expectations within budget, enhancing value for money.
  • Identify business opportunities and prepare bids to secure new business.
  • Attend necessary site meetings for contractual cost discussions with clients.
  • Support all processes to safely deliver client projects while complying with company procedures and policies.
  • Alert the Project Management Team to potential overspending, non-compliance, and project issues.
  • Value variations and change orders throughout the project, working closely with the Project Management Team.
  • Monitor project performance against agreed budgets.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, contracts, and programs to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Monthly reporting to the Project Management Team.
  • Manage subcontractor orders.
  • Project cash flow management.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Degree qualification in Construction Management, Surveying or Commercial management or equivalent.
  • The Commercial Manager must be in Ireland or the UK at present and be eligible to work in Ireland without requiring a work permit.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including 4+ years as M&E Commercial Manager on large projects.
  • Work on key business actions, to be monthly agreements with the Commercial Director.
  • Quantify, budget, and manage project costs.
  • Oversee and manage commercial aspects of projects, working closely with procurement and project delivery teams.
  • Provide input and guidance on tender submissions and projects by analyzing options to meet client expectations within budget, enhancing value for money.
  • Strong legal and contractual understanding of construction law
  • The Commercial Manager will maintain strong client relationships
  • Provide financial reports of ongoing projects
