Opportunity for a Civil Structural Engineer to join a leading international construction and engineering organisation at their Dublin HQ!
This role sits within a high-performing pre-construction team, supporting the delivery of large-scale, complex projects across sectors such as data centres, advanced technology and life sciences.
The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise across civil and structural elements of major construction projects, along with the ability to influence design, programme and methodology decisions at tender stage.
Role:
- Engage with design teams to support detailed design development and optimisation
- Review structural designs and assess opportunities for alternative construction methodologies
- Evaluate construction sequencing and programme implications, including temporary works requirements
- Support procurement activities by engaging with the supply chain and preparing subcontract packages
- Review subcontractor proposals and carry out technical and commercial comparisons
- Contribute to lifting strategies and crane planning for complex projects
- Assess project logistics and identify construction risks and mitigation strategies
- Support wider tendering activities across multidisciplinary project teams
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
- 10 years’ experience as a Civil / Structural Engineer within construction or engineering environments
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and structural design review
- Previous site experience with a main contractor is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
Salary:
- €65,000 – €75,000 + benefits package (DOE)
