A leading Irish consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their specialist Flood & Dam Division!
Excited to have partnered with a leading Irish Engineering Consultancy, to assist them in finding an experienced Civil Engineer, for opportunities available in Dublin OR Galway team. This role offers hands-on exposure to nationally significant flood risk, hydrology, and water-infrastructure projects while working closely with senior engineers who will actively support your technical and professional development.
Projects
- Flood Risk Assessments for major Irish developments (Stages 1–3)
- Hydrological analysis and river modelling for strategic infrastructure
- Flood Relief Scheme design and technical documentation
- Reservoir and dam safety inspections across Ireland
- Water infrastructure construction supervision and contract administration
Requirements
- Level 8 degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience (graduates with relevant project exposure also considered)
- Understanding of hydrology and river modelling principles
- Confident communication skills and ability to work effectively within project teams
- Proficiency in software such as HEC-RAS 1D/2D, Flood Modeller, AutoCAD, and Innovyze/MicroDrainage
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and willingness to develop GIS capability (ArcGIS, QGIS, or MapInfo)
Salary & Benefits
- €45,000k – €55,000k DOE plus benefits
