Excellent opportunity for a Civil CAD Technician to join an established consultancy in South Dublin.
The successful Civil CAD Technician will support the delivery of civil and structural engineering projects across a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial and infrastructure developments. This role will suit a detail-oriented CAD Technician who enjoys working closely with engineers to produce high-quality drawings and technical documentation while contributing to projects from concept through to construction stage.
Projects
- Residential housing and apartment developments
- Commercial and mixed-use developments
- Civil infrastructure and site development projects
- Public realm and urban development schemes
Role
- Prepare and develop detailed 2D technical drawings for civil and structural engineering projects
- Work closely with design engineers to produce accurate construction and planning drawings
- Assist with site layout drawings including drainage, roads and utilities
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and relevant standards
- Maintain drawing registers and support document control processes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, CAD, or related discipline
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar CAD Technician / Draughting role within an engineering consultancy
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (experience with Civil 3D beneficial)
- Experience producing civil engineering drawings including site layouts, drainage and infrastructure
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Salary & Benefits
- €40,000 – €50,000 DOE
