BIM Technician
BIM Technician required to join one of Europe s leading Engineering Contractors at their offices in Dublin. The successful BIM Technician will be responsible for the production of 3D construction models from base information for a range of Industrial projects in Ireland and Europe.
Role:
- Use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) software to produce 3D construction models and associated designs from base information. I.e. Base design, P&IDs, Scan &
- Liaise with BIM Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer & Project Supervisors.
- Monitor/checking if there are any clashes – Producing weekly clash reports
- Coordinate and monitor Incoming/shared models
- Produce images and drawings as required by BIM manager
- Coordination of MEP BIM Projects.
- Development of mechanical & electrical systems and designs coordinated building services layouts, management of drawing registers and standards.
- BIM delivery on both live and tender projects
- Support a team of BIM technicians and BIM Engineers
- Ensure QAQC compliance
Requirements
- Mechanical Trade or Engineering Degree/Diploma and background is essential
- Must have 3+ years experience in modelling Mechanical systems within an engineering consultancy or contractor.
- Must have experience working in the Pharmaceutical or Semi-Conductor industry.
- Must poses knowledge of Pipe & fittings (carbon steel, stainless steel, schedule pipe & tubing), High Purity pipework, Plastic pipework, Valves and Instruments.
- Excellent IT skills – AutoCAD, CAD Worx, Revit, Navisworks, MS Office etc.
- The successful BIM Engineer / BIM Technician must be in Ireland or the UK at present and be eligible to work in Ireland without requiring a work permit.
Salary & Benefits:
