A long-established building services consultancy is seeking a skilled BIM Technician with strong Revit MEP experience to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to work across a variety of healthcare, commercial, and public sector projects, supporting multidisciplinary teams of engineers and designers. A strong understanding of BIM standards and workflows is essential, along with experience working in a consultancy or contractor-led building services environment. Irish experience essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate MEP models using Revit MEP in line with project requirements.
- Support production of detailed layouts including General Arrangements, Sections, and Details.
- Implement and maintain BIM workflows in accordance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
- Collaborate with engineers and fellow technicians to deliver coordinated building services models.
- Conduct clash detection using Revit and Navisworks; produce and resolve clash reports across MEP systems.
- Work with federated and COBie-compliant models as part of larger multidisciplinary teams.
- Apply industry CAD standards, including Xrefs, layer management, and drawing organisation.
- Maintain model integrity and consistency throughout all project phases.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a BIM Technician in an MEP environment.
- Recognised qualification in BIM and formal training in Revit MEP (certification or diploma).
- Extensive experience with AutoCAD and familiarity with best practice modelling standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is an advantage but not essential.
- Experience working with COBie data and site-based BIM integration is desirable.
