A leading multidisciplinary company with offices in Dublin and Cork are expanding the Dublin office and seeking to appoint a qualified and highly experienced Architectural Director to the team.
They are a dynamic practice who specialise is working across the architectural, engineering and fire strategy domain in Ireland and internationally.
The newly appointed Architectural Director will take a strategic leadership position within the organisation and assume responsibility for overseeing multiple workstreams across educational, infrastructure, remediation, commercial, and many more. This role requires an architectural professional with a profound technical background, capable of steering complex projects from concept to completion and liaising with all internal / external stakeholders to ensure key project milestones are delivered.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead and oversee multiple workstreams, ensuring each achieves its strategic objectives and adheres to the highest standards of quality.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to drive project milestones and deliverables.
- Develop and implement architectural strategies that align with organisation’s vision and objectives.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance across various projects
- Ensure all projects are compliant with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Lead, mentor and support senior and junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Drive innovation in architectural design and practices
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders, developing relationships and ensuring transparent communication.
Requirements:
- Qualified Architectural professional from either an Architect or Architectural Technology background or a related field
- Ideally 20 years’ industry experience within an architectural design office or multidisciplinary organisation, with significant experience leading diverse projects of various scales and complexities
- Previous experience delivering Public Works Contracts experience is essential
- Good knowledge and understanding of Department of Education SDGs
- Team management and mentoring experience
- Excellent technical knowledge, especially in building services, construction methods, materials, and fire safety measures
- Proficiency in CAD software; experience with BIM technologies is advantageous
- Strong leadership, project management, and organisational skills
- Proven success managing multiple workstreams and multidisciplinary teams
- Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with all internal / external teams
