A leading developer with projects across Ireland, are seeking to recruit an experienced Architect OR Architectural Technologist with strong residential project experience to join the team as a Design Manager.
The Architect /Architectural Technologist will take the responsibility for leading the pre-construction phase as a Design Manager and coordinate early-stage design activities across multiple residential developments. Playing a critical role in design reviews, technical assessments, and ensuring alignment with central design standards during the pre-construction phase.
Reporting to the Design Lead, they will support cross-functional teams through planning, design, and early delivery. This is a strategic role requiring strong coordination skills, an innovative mindset, and the ability to unify stakeholders across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead core pre-construction, planning design, and design standard reviews
- Assess and track activities for acquisition projects
- Review designs and layouts during planning
- Organise and manage central design standards information
- Support and coordinate pre-construction meetings and pipeline activity
- Work with other departments including Interiors & Landscaping design leads to maintain consistency across projects
- Manage and produce technical drawings for the design library
- Review site activity for compliance with technical standards
- Support technical and design checklists during planning
- Create and update guidance documents and best practices
- Contribute to program reviews, logistics, and project templates
- Maintain records and coordinate with project teams
Desired skills and experience:
- Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Project Management, or Engineering
- In excess of 5 years’ experience in residential construction design or similar
- Full knowledge of construction industry regulations and planning policies
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Confident working independently and collaboratively
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Detail-oriented and proactive
- Full driver’s licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
- Must hold full eligibility to work in Ireland
