Civil Engineer – Civil Infrastructure & Utilities Projects
A well-established and growing civil engineering contractor is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their team working across a range of infrastructure and civil engineering projects throughout the Munster region. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to gain exposure across multiple live projects including renewable energy, utilities, drainage, roadworks, and general civils.
The successful candidate will work closely with site foremen and project teams supporting the day-to-day coordination and delivery of works across projects in Tipperary, Cork, Waterford, Limerick, Kilkenny, and surrounding areas. This is a hands-on role offering strong long-term progression and exposure to a broad range of civil engineering works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support site management and foremen in the day-to-day delivery of civil engineering projects.
- Assist with coordinating works across multiple active sites.
- Review construction drawings and specifications to ensure works are completed correctly.
- Monitor quality of works and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain site records, daily reports, and project documentation.
- Coordinate material orders and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Support health & safety procedures and ensure site compliance standards are maintained.
- Assist with planning upcoming works and project sequencing.
- Liaise with internal project teams and support the successful delivery of projects from start to completion
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within civil engineering or construction.
- Irish construction or civils experience is desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work across multiple projects.
- Full driving licence essential.
- Willingness to travel across Munster projects as required.
