Graduate Site Engineer – (Swords, Dublin)
A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking a Graduate Site Engineer to join their expanding team on key infrastructure and public realm projects in Swords, North Dublin and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a final-year student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience on large-scale urban infrastructure projects in a fast-growing commuter town.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in site operations on projects including footpaths, urban streetscapes, cycle lanes, drainage upgrades, and roadworks
- Support setting out and surveying activities using GPS and total station equipment
- Track daily site progress and maintain accurate site records and as-built documentation
- Liaise with design teams, subcontractors, local authority representatives, and other stakeholders
- Contribute to quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with health & safety standards
- Support senior engineers and site management in delivering works to programme and budget
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (final-year students also considered)
- Completion of a college work placement or internship (minimum a few months) in construction, civil engineering, or a related environment is required
- Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving ability
- Competent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and eager to develop site-based engineering skills
