A well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Resident Engineer (Water Pipeline Project) to join their team in Dublin on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take a lead role on a major water infrastructure project, overseeing construction activities and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You’ll be working within a collaborative project team, gaining strong exposure to site supervision, stakeholder management and project delivery on critical utility infrastructure.
Projects:
- Large-scale water pipeline infrastructure projects
- Public sector utility upgrades and network improvements
- Civil engineering works including pipelines, chambers and associated infrastructure
- Projects delivered within live environments with a strong focus on safety and quality
- Multidisciplinary coordination across design, contractor and client teams
Role:
- Act as Resident Engineer overseeing site activities and ensuring compliance with design and specifications
- Supervise construction works, monitor progress and maintain detailed site records
- Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental standards on site
- Liaise with contractors, client representatives and design teams
- Review drawings, specifications and method statements
- Manage quality control processes, inspections and testing
- Identify and resolve on-site technical issues in collaboration with project stakeholders
- Prepare regular progress reports and contribute to project meetings
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years’ experience in site supervision or Resident Engineer roles
- Strong experience on water / wastewater / pipeline projects
- Knowledge of Irish Water / Uisce Éireann standards (highly desirable)
- Experience administering contracts (e.g. Public Works Contracts)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
Salary & Benefits:
- €55,000 – €65,000 DOE
