Lead Electrical Design Engineer
We are hiring for a Lead Electrical Design Engineer to join a Tier 1 M&E Contractor in Dublin or Limerick. You will join a high-performing team delivering Pharmaceutical and Power & Renewables projects across Ireland and also hyperscale data centre projects across Europe. This role offers the opportunity to lead design, work on complex engineering challenges, and progress into senior leadership roles.

Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design across data centre projects
- As Lead Electrical Design Engineer you will mentor and guide engineering teams
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors
- Deliver designs across power, control, ICT, and life-safety systems
- Ensure compliance with EN/IEC, ETCI, and BS7671 standards
- Produce technical reports and project documentation
- Apply system modelling and analysis to support design decisions
- Resolve complex technical challenges in fast-paced environments
Requirements
- 5-7 years’ electrical design experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- This Lead Electrical Design Engineer will need Data centre or mission-critical project experience
- Experience leading engineering or design teams
- Strong knowledge of EN/IEC, ETCI or BS7671 standards
- Proficiency in tools such as ETAP, Amtech, AutoCAD, Revit
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel (EU Passport is essential)
