Senior Civil Engineer (Geotechnical)

Senior Civil Engineer (Geotechnical) with 8+ years’ experience required to join a large international Blue Chip multidisciplinary Consultancy. This consultancy has a Strong Irish footprint (Dublin, Cork, Galway, Belfast) with international expansion into the UK and Middle East. The successful Senior Civil Engineer will take a lead role in the management of the Geotechnical design process, delivery of services and monitoring of project completion for some of the largest Civil Projects in Ireland.  

About the Role:

• Produce high-quality technical reports while liaising with clients and specialists across sectors.
• Develop strong proposals to win new business opportunities.
• Manage project delivery, ensuring financial control and performance.
• Coordinate team resources and allocate staff effectively.
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members.
• Support all aspects of project delivery, including stakeholder coordination and quality assurance.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering or equivalent.
• Should be Chartered or close to becoming Chartered with Engineers Ireland.
• The successful Geotechnical Engineer must have 8+ years of experience in a technical role in geotechnical engineering within a consultancy.
• Experience and ability in 3D modelling, GIS, scripting, or automation and their application to geotechnics would be an advantage.
• Propensity to lead a team of engineers, technicians, and graduates.
• Experienced in Geotechnical design and design review.
