A leading international consultancy is seeking a Technical Director – Environment to join their growing team in Ireland.
This is a senior leadership opportunity to shape and drive the delivery of complex environmental projects across the energy and infrastructure sectors. You’ll play a key role in leading EIAs, developing client relationships, and contributing to business growth, while working within a highly respected multidisciplinary team.
Projects:
- Environmental Impact Assessments for major energy and infrastructure developments
- Electricity transmission and renewable energy projects
- Large-scale linear infrastructure and utilities schemes
- Multidisciplinary projects across transport, development and industrial sectors
- High-profile projects supporting Ireland’s sustainability and climate goals
Role:
- Lead and direct the delivery of EIAs across complex, multidisciplinary projects
- Provide strategic environmental advice to clients, project teams and stakeholders
- Manage project delivery including programme, quality, commercial and resourcing
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams, supporting technical development
- Drive business development activities including bids, proposals and client engagement
- Support public consultation and regulatory engagement processes
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement in EIA delivery
- Play a key role in the growth and diversification of the environmental team
Requirements:
- Degree in Environmental Science, Planning or a related discipline
- Extensive experience delivering EIAs for major infrastructure or energy projects
- Strong knowledge of Irish planning legislation and EU directives
- Experience engaging with An Coimisiún Pleanála and public consultation processes
- Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams and complex projects
- Strong track record in client engagement, business development and winning work
- Experience mentoring and developing teams
- Chartered status with a relevant professional body
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
Salary & Benefits:
- €85,000 – €95,000 DOE
