A Civil Engineer is required to join a multidisciplinary architecture & engineering consultancy in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineer to step up and lead high-profile projects, mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continued growth of the organisation.
This is a senior civil engineer opportunity offering real progression, autonomy, and exposure to major national infrastructure schemes.
Projects:
- Major wastewater treatment plant upgrades and expansion programs (€10m – €80m)
- Regional and national water supply schemes (€20m – €150m)
- Urban stormwater management, drainage and nature-based solutions (€3m – €25m)
- Design–Build partnerships on water and wastewater infrastructure projects (€25m – €100m+)
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering
- 5+ years’ experience delivering water and wastewater design projects within a consultancy or design–build environment
- Proven track record in project delivery, client liaison, and stakeholder management
- In-depth knowledge of Irish Water standards, Eurocodes, BC(A)R, and industry guidelines
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior engineers
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage / InfoWorks ICM
- Strong commercial awareness, contract knowledge (FIDIC / NEC), and experience preparing proposals / tenders
