Senior Quantity Surveyor
A well-established water and civil engineering contractor based in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of projects across the South-East of Ireland, with regular travel to sites required.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment, pipelines, and general civil engineering works.
Role:
- Manage all commercial aspects of civil and water infrastructure projects from inception through to final account.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.
• Conduct site measurements and valuations.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and accounts.
• Monitor project costs, variations, and cash flow to ensure financial performance targets are met.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure effective project delivery.
• Prepare and present commercial reports to senior management.
• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within civil engineering or water infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of contract forms and commercial management.
• Proven experience managing subcontractors and project costs.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with QS software an advantage.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel across the South-East.
Package:
- Salary circa €80k–€90k (DOE).
• Company vehicle or travel allowance.
