CAD Technician – M&E Design Consultancy
A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy specializing in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) design is seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join my client’s team in Dublin City Centre. We deliver innovative, practical, and cost-effective engineering solutions across a diverse range of projects including commercial, healthcare, education, and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Revit for mechanical and electrical systems.
- Assist engineers in developing design layouts, plans, and schematics for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, and building services systems.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, industry standards, and local regulations.
- Update and maintain drawing libraries and CAD standards to support project efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other consultants to ensure designs are coordinated and fully integrated.
- Support design reviews, site inspections, and technical documentation preparation as required.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in CAD, Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline.
- Proven experience as a CAD Technician in an M&E design consultancy environment.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is a significant advantage.
- Understanding of M&E systems and their coordination in building projects.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work to deadlines.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
