Senior Civil Quantity Surveyor

A Senior Civil Quantity Surveyor is required for a contractor delivering civil engineering projects across Tipperary, Cork, Limerick, Kilkenny, and Offaly. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing company delivering infrastructure and utilities projects across the region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for tendering, measuring works onsite, and managing subcontractors and materials across multiple projects. Current projects include substation and grid route packages on solar and wind farms, as well as civil works on wastewater treatment plant redevelopments.

The role will be primarily site-based, with the successful candidate mainly based on the company’s largest project while also visiting other sites every couple of weeks. Occasional visits to the office in Clonmel will be required for meetings. All projects are located within approximately a two-hour radius of Clonmel.

Duties:

Manage the commercial aspects of civil engineering projects from tender stage through to completion.
• Prepare and review tenders, cost estimates, and project budgets.
• Measure onsite works and prepare valuations and variations.
• Manage subcontractor packages including procurement, payments, and performance monitoring.
• Oversee the procurement and management of materials across projects.
• Monitor project costs and report on commercial performance.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within budget.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and assist with contract administration.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure commercial compliance.

Requirements:

Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in civil works, ideally within the energy, utilities, or water infrastructure sectors.
• Experience managing subcontractors, procurement, and cost control.
• Ability to measure works onsite and manage multiple projects.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
• Eligible to work in Ireland.
• Full driving licence.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary – €80k – €85k
    • Company Vehicle.
