A well-known Tier 2 contractor is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team in North Dublin, working on large-scale commercial fit-out and build projects. This role will involve managing project costs from early procurement stages through to final account, ensuring financial control and value are maintained throughout the lifecycle of the project. The Project Quantity Surveyor will work closely with the project management and site teams to deliver high-quality commercial outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Manage project costs and budgets from pre-construction through to final account.
- Prepare and review tender documentation, subcontract packages, and procurement schedules.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate contracts.
- Monitor project expenditure and track variations to ensure cost control.
- Prepare valuations, interim payments, and final accounts.
- Liaise with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
- Identify and manage commercial risks while maintaining profitability.
- Prepare cost reports and provide regular financial updates to senior management.
Requirements
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Previous experience on commercial fit-out or build projects is desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple project responsibilities and deadlines effectively.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
Salary & Benefits
- €60,000 – €70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
