A Tier 2 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their high-performing project teams in Dublin. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will manage multiple projects to maximise commercial returns while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Track project deliverables and ensure commercial and administrative systems, budgets, and cost control procedures are effectively used
- Manage commercial teams and lead the planning and implementation of project commercial strategies
- Conduct in-depth reviews of tender documentation to identify risks and opportunities
- Review and approve selected contractors and suppliers
- Ensure all contractual correspondence is in line with contract terms, including detailed analysis of EOT notifications and claims
- Continuously monitor projects to ensure delivery within time and budget constraints
- Assist with defining project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Report on actual costs vs estimates, analyze variances, and implement solutions
- Present reports highlighting project progress, issues, and resolutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying & Construction Economics, or equivalent recognized by SCSI or RICS
- Minimum 6 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably on high-profile or complex projects
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts (RIAI, FIDIC, JCT, etc.)
- Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and critical evaluation skills
