A leading residential developer is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team immediately on a major 300+ unit housing development in Nenagh, Tipperary. This is an excellent opportunity for a QS with experience in residential construction to take ownership of a large-scale project and gain exposure to all commercial aspects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all commercial and cost control aspects of the residential project
- Prepare and submit interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and overall financial performance
- Assist in procurement of subcontractors and preparation of subcontract agreements
- Conduct regular site visits to verify progress and support valuations
- Liaise closely with site teams, project managers, subcontractors, and clients
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
- Ensure all commercial activities comply with company procedures and industry standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in residential construction
- Experience working on large-scale housing developments is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of cost management, contract administration, and procurement processes
- Ability to work on-site and collaborate effectively within a project team
- Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills
- Relevant degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
