Senior Site Engineer – Civils & Groundworks (Residential) – Adamstown
A Senior Site Engineer is required for a well-established civil contractor delivering a large-scale residential development in Adamstown. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to take a senior role overseeing all civils and groundworks packages on a long-term project.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the site management team, ensuring all civil works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Duties:
- Lead all setting out activities for groundworks, drainage, utilities, foundations, roads, and external works using GPS and total station equipment.
• Oversee and coordinate civil and groundworks subcontractors on site.
• Ensure works are carried out in compliance with drawings, specifications, and building regulations.
• Liaise closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, design team, and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate site records including QA documentation, daily reports, and as-built surveys.
• Monitor progress against programme and assist with planning and sequencing of civil works.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Resolve technical and coordination issues relating to drainage, utilities, and infrastructure.
• Support materials management, ordering, and logistics for civil works packages.
Requirements:
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Site Engineer, with strong experience in civils and groundworks on residential projects.
• Proven experience managing drainage, utilities, roadworks, and foundations packages.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, GPS, and total station equipment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a site management team and lead junior engineers where required.
• Strong problem-solving ability and proactive approach on site.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary circa €75–85k, depending on experience..
• Long-term pipeline of residential projects in the Dublin region.
