Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civils & Infrastructure Projects
A well‑established Irish civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The company’s head office is based in Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath, with a strong pipeline of civil infrastructure projects across Meath, Dublin, and Kildare, including major roads, bridges, and large‑scale civil works.
This role will be primarily office‑based in Dunshaughlin, with regular site visits to projects across Meath, Dublin, and Kildare. The contractor delivers a diverse portfolio of public and private sector infrastructure schemes and offers long‑term, stable career progression.
Role:
• Take full commercial responsibility for civil and building projects from pre‑contract through to final account.
• Prepare cost plans, budgets, tender returns, and commercial reports.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Oversee interim applications, change control, and cost forecasting.
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, and financial performance.
• Provide commercial and contractual support to Project Managers and site teams.
• Lead CVR reporting and commercial risk management.
• Work closely with senior management on large infrastructure packages.
• Mentor and support junior commercial staff.
Requirements:
• 6+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor.
• Strong background in civil engineering and building projects (roads, bridges, structures, general civils, mixed infrastructure).
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Experience managing full project commercial lifecycle.
• Knowledge of Public Works, NEC and/or other standard forms of contract.
• Strong commercial, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Comfortable working from head office in Dunshaughlin with regular site visits to Meath, Dublin, and Kildare.
• Full driving licence and right to work in Ireland.
Package:
• Competitive salary circa €85,000 – €95,000
