Site Engineer
A well-established Main Contractor is seeking a Site Engineer to join their team on a residential project in County Carlow.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys and gather data for accurate planning.
- Interpret drawings and specifications for precise setting out.
- Establish and maintain control points and reference lines.
- Use Total Stations, GPS, and laser levels to set out works.
- Check works for accuracy and compliance with drawings.
- Report and help resolve any site discrepancies.
- Coordinate with engineers, management, and subcontractors.
- Keep accurate survey records, reports, and as-built data.
- Assist with handover documentation and quality checks.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience as a Setting Out or Site Engineer.
- Proficient with Total Stations, GPS, and AutoCAD.
- Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standards.
- Familiar with industry codes and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Full clean driver’s licence and willing to travel to sites.
