Quantity Surveyor
Quantity Surveyor required for a well-established Building Contractor to work in the Galway region. The Quantity Surveyor will be a key part of the commercial team and work on various projects across the Galway area. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in quantity surveying with a building contractor in Ireland or the UK.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified with at least 2 years’+ experience in Quantity Surveying with a Building Contractor
- Quantity Surveyor experience with a Contractor in Ireland or the UK is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ambitious and committed to deliver an excellent standard of work.
- Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
- Diligent IT and presentation skills and knowledge of estimating software.
- A good communicator.
- Excellent people skills.
- Must be in the Galway region.
Role:
- Manage projects from tender stage through to final account, ensuring commercial control is maintained throughout the project lifecycle
- Liaise with key stakeholders and take full ownership of resolving any commercial queries that arise
- Prepare and issue tender inquiries, analyse tender returns, and advise on value engineering opportunities
- Compile and maintain Bills of Quantities (BOQ) tender documentation for subcontractor and supplier packages
- Conducting on-site evaluations / tick sheets
- Prepare detailed cost reports, cash flow forecasts and monthly CVR’s, with a clear focus on cost to complete and risk management
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of final accounts, working collaboratively with site teams and clients
Salary:
- Excellent salary circa €60k – €70K
