Health and Safety Manager
A Health and Safety Manager with 5+ years of civil engineering experience is required for a major infrastructure project in Cork. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a strong safety culture on-site. Ideal for a proactive Health and Safety Manager who thrives in a hands-on, collaborative environment.
Role:
- Implement and monitor site-specific health and safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
- Conduct site audits and inspections and safety walkdowns to ensure compliance with legislation and company standards.
- Report and investigate all accidents, incidents, near-misses, and hazards – ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
- Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and staff training.
- Promote behavioral safety and continuous improvement
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve safety issues promptly.
- Ensure proper use of PPE, machinery, and equipment in line with statutory requirements.
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar Health and Safety Manager role
- Experience in civil engineering or construction
- NEBOSH/IOSH Diploma or equivalent health & safety qualification
- Knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices in construction
- Strong IT skills and experience using construction-related digital tools and MS Word/Excel
- Strong communicator with proven leadership and motivational skills
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to risk management
- Full clean driving license
- Right to work in ROI
Package:
- Salary circa €75k-€85k
