Mechanical Site Supervisor

We are currently recruiting a Mechanical Site Supervisor for an M&E Contractor to work across several water and infrastructure projects in Carlow, Leinster and the Midlands. The successful candidate must have the ability to work on their own initiative or as part of a team with minimal supervision. The role is a mixed variety of maintenance works and installations.

Responsibilities: 

• The Mechanical Site Supervisor will directly supervise the Fitter Crew and the sub-contractor Fitter Crew.
• Arrange all site logistics including material take-off, planning of Works and resources required.
• Implementation of all Health & Safety rules.
• Training client operators in the day to day running of the plant.
• Liaise with Project Managers and Engineers.
• Prepare all siteworks including Permits to Work & Safe Plan of Action’s.
• Fitting of all equipment to a professional standard.
• Working as part of the Mechanical Team for the delivery of new installations and for the maintenance and repairs of equipment.

Requirements:

• Relevant Mechanical trade or engineering qualification.
• 4+ years’ experience working as a Mechanical Site Supervisor.
• Experience in a water/wastewater treatment plant installations is preferable but not essential.
• Experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of Chemical Systems.
• The Mechanical Site Supervisor should have experience in the installation of Stainless Steel, Ductile Iron and PVC Pipework.
• Be familiar with typical instrumentation used in the water sector.
• Strong technical capability with drawings, templates and schematics P&ID’s.
• Willingness to travel within Ireland.
• A full clean driver license.

Salary:

• Salary €60K-75K DOE.
• Company Van provided with Fuel Card.
• 25 days holidays.
