Intermediate Quantity Surveyor:

Intermediate Quantity Surveyor with 4 + years ‘experience required for a Tier 1 Main Building Contractor to work on a large scale project in Galway.  Our client is one of the top construction companies in Ireland and have a robust pipeline of work both in Ireland and overseas.  This Contractor’s commercial department is very well set up and well resourced.

Requirements:

• Degree qualified with at least 4 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying with a main building contractor in Ireland or the UK.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Must be commercially and contractually aware.
• Ambitious and committed to deliver an excellent standard of work.
• Must be eligible to work in Ireland.

Role:

• Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate s/cs, negotiation & finalise s/c orders, financial & commercial management of s/cs to Final Account completion.
• Managing and reporting of forecasts, target, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, assisting in the site records & document control
• Liaising with & commercially influence/challenge site management team whilst maintaining & protecting JSS commercial & contractual entitlement
• Managing & overseeing AQS & TQS, checking & taking responsibility for their work & sign-off SMM/measurement issues

Salary:

• Starting Salary: €60k– €70k
