A Health and Safety Manager is required to work for a top Civils Contractor in Dublin. This position is fully remote with site visits. As a pivotal member of their team, you will actively contribute to enhancing operations and cultivating a safety-conscious culture
Role:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments tailored to the civil engineering environment.
- Investigate incidents thoroughly and report findings accurately to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Develop and deliver employee training programs to promote safety awareness and compliance.
- Perform regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Create and maintain health and safety documentation, meticulously logging all relevant information.
- Ensure compliance with current safety regulations and collaborate with departments to address safety concerns effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Occupational Safety and Health Management (Level 8) or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience demonstrating a track record of operational improvement and increased safety awareness.
- Advantageous qualifications include certification as a Manual Handling or Abrasive Wheel instructor trainer, along with First Aid Training.
- Previous experience in water, electricity, or telecoms civils utilities works is advantageous.
- Excellent proficiency in English, particularly in report writing and statement acquisition.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with various departments and managers.
- Proficient in drafting and delivering PowerPoint presentations and conducting ongoing toolbox talks.
- Reporting directly to the Health & Safety Manager, with occasional liaison with company directors
- Possession of relevant certifications such as Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and a full driving lice
