Focused on creating high-quality residential developments, the company is searching for a an Assistant Development Manager to take charge of the entire process, from site identification and planning to construction, marketing, and project handover. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research and due diligence on potential development sites and projects.
- Work with the Development Manager and the Development Team in a collaborative manner.
- Prepare detailed financial models, development appraisals, and cashflow forecasts.
- Review architectural designs and challenge development strategies to ensure they align with project objectives.
- Manage and coordinate planning applications, ensuring compliance and timely submission.
- Assist in the selection and management of design teams and oversee the integration of design information, including drawings and technical specifications.
- Assist in drafting and managing contracts, development plans, and other legal documents.
- Support the development manager with project tracking, reporting, and program management to ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
- Handle project funding applications and monitor project costs closely.
- Contribute to the introduction of new processes and systems to improve efficiency, profitability, and quality across all projects.
- Assist in identifying and managing project risks, ensuring proactive solutions are in place.
Requirements:
- A degree or background in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in property development or construction project management is advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project planning tools such as Microsoft Project.
- Familiarity with development appraisal software (e.g., Argus/Estate Master) is desirable.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and organizational skills.
- A detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for developing creative design solutions.
- Highly motivated, ambitious, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
