Our client is one of Ireland’s leading civil engineering contractors, renowned for delivering high-profile, large-scale commercial and infrastructure projects. With a strong reputation for quality and innovation, the company is seeking a skilled and motivated Site Engineer to join their team for a major commercial development project in Dublin City Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set out and mark reference points on-site for all construction works, ensuring accuracy and alignment with design plans.
- Monitor and measure construction progress against project specifications and drawings.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the project team, subcontractors, and site workers.
- Assist in the preparation of site surveys and interpret engineering drawings to provide solutions on-site.
- Ensure that all construction works comply with local regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
- Regularly update site documentation, including measurements, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
- Coordinate with the project manager and senior engineers to address any site issues or design changes.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on large-scale construction or commercial projects.
- Strong understanding of setting out techniques, engineering drawings, and construction methodologies.
- Proficient in using modern surveying equipment (e.g., Total Station, GPS, and laser levels).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
