Mechanical Lead – 12196
Mechanical lead required to join one of Europe’s leading Tier 1 Main Contractors on a Data Centre project in Finland. The Mechanical lead will report into the MEP Lead and will be responsible for the working with a team of Mechanical Engineers ensuring the successful delivery of the projects Mechanical systems.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of Mechanical Engineers.
- Suggest appropriate design modifications to improve cost efficiency, facilitate construction schedules, and enhance specifications and quality completion.
- Demonstrate commercial awareness.
- Oversee construction to ensure quality workmanship and materials.
- Coordinate with the contracts manager, site engineers, and other discipline leads to ensure subcontractors and site personnel receive timely and accurate information.
- Review and understand drawings and specifications, and promptly communicate any errors or omissions to the design team.
- Determine project resource needs and lead and motivate the project team.
- Ensure the highest standards of health and safety.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
- 7+ Years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience working on Data Centre projects would be beneficial.
- Experience in procurement, scheduling, programming and sequencing.
- Experience leading MEP Teams.
- Good IT skills, particularly in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Packages.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines.
