A well-established and highly reputable civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Civils Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of an infrastructure and civil engineering project in the Tipperary area. The company prides itself on delivering high-quality construction solutions across Ireland, focusing on roads, utilities, drainage, and earthworks. Key Responsibilities

  • Site Supervision: Oversee all on-site activities, including subcontractors, labour, and materials, to ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Health & Safety: Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work being produced, ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with design specifications and client requirements.
  • Resource Management: Plan, allocate, and manage resources including personnel, materials, and equipment, to ensure efficient site operations.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that any issues are addressed promptly.
  • Progress Reporting: Provide regular progress updates to senior management, including the status of works, any issues encountered, and potential solutions.
  • Problem-Solving: Anticipate and proactively resolve issues that may arise on-site, minimising disruption to project timelines.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the civil engineering or construction industry.
  • Qualifications: A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of civil engineering practices, including earthworks, drainage, roads, and utilities.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate site teams to deliver projects successfully under pressure.
  • Full Clean Driving Licence: Must have a valid driving licence to travel to various sites across Tipperary.
