Intermediate Quantity Surveyor:
Intermediate Quantity Surveyor with 3 + years’ main building contractor experience required for a well-established for a mid-sized Main Building Contractor to work on a large scale project in Swords which is just starting. This is the ideal role for the Intermediate QS with about 3 years’ experience with a main building contractor who would like to develop a long-term career with one of the best construction companies in Ireland. This Contractor’s commercial department is very well set up and well resourced.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified with at least 3 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying with a main building contractor in Ireland or the UK.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Must be commercially and contractually aware.
- Ambitious and committed to deliver an excellent standard of work.
- Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
Role:
- Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate s/cs, negotiation & finalise s/c orders, financial & commercial management of s/cs to Final Account completion.
- Managing and reporting of forecasts, target, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, assisting in the site records & document control
- Liaising with & commercially influence/challenge site management team whilst maintaining & protecting JSS commercial & contractual entitlement
- Managing & overseeing AQS & TQS, checking & taking responsibility for their work & sign-off SMM/measurement issues
Salary:
- Starting Salary: €50k– €60k
