Project Manager (Relocate to Canada)
Exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to relocate to Canada and join the Building Division of one of Canada’s Largest Main Contractors (Circa $3 Billion turnover annually) to work across a mixed portfolio of High-Rise, Commercial, Healthcare, Airport, Defense and Educational projects.
Duties:
- Provide safety leadership through implementation of Bird Safety Program and monitoring of safety performance of project team and subcontractors.
- Planning, scheduling, setting objectives and controlling activities during the construction phase of a project(s) in conjunction with the Project Superintendent and Project Team.
- Supervision and development of project team members through regular feedback, training and coaching; timely completion of performance evaluations.
- Administration and management of prime contract and subcontracts; includes negotiation and awarding of subcontracts for scopes of work as well as review and evaluation of subcontractor performance.
- Manage project budget and billings and work with accounting to ensure timely payment of A/R and A/P.
- Review and analysis of costs and identify revenue opportunities.
- Monthly and quarterly reporting on financial and overall performance of project to Senior Management.
- Foster and maintain positive relations and communication with clients, consultants, architects and subcontractors.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma/Trade in Construction or Engineering Discipline.
- 5 Years+ in Construction / Project Management for a Main Contractor in Ireland/UK.
- Experience delivering projects with values €25 Million+.
- Solid understanding of construction industry practices.
- Strong familiarity with contract administration, understanding drawings, specifications, architectural and engineering standards and building practices, including building codes.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- IT Skills: MS Office, MS Project, Bluebeam and Plan Grid.
- Available to relocate permanently to Canada within 6-9 months.

- Salary $100,000 to $120,000 CAD (Circa €65k to €80k) + Vehicle allowance
