Water Quality Specialist with 6+ years’ experience needed to join a highly respected, award-winning international multi-disciplinary consultancy with offices in Cork, Galway, Louth and Dublin. This role will involve working on water projects, schemes and to address general water use and management issues throughout Ireland. The successful Water Quality Specialist will report to the Project Manager as well as the other company Directors.
Duties:
- The successful Water Quality Specialist will work in a team within a multidiscipline office and shall work on varied projects.
- As Water Quality Specialist you will have good experience and understanding of the main water quality issues adversely impacting Ireland’s water resources, primarily from agriculture (nutrients, pesticides) but also from wastewater treatment in urban centres and more diffuse and dispersed impacts like leaking septic tanks and use of pesticides.
- Collaborate with customers, engineers, sub-contractors, suppliers, and in-house resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Project scheduling and resource planning aligned to meet customer requirements.
- Maintaining accurate records of all process steps.
- Liaising with clients, and other stakeholders and co-ordinate with all other disciplines in terms of the project requirements.
Requirements:
- Honours Degree in Civil Engineering/Ecology or equivalent.
- The successful Water Quality Specialist should have 6+ years post graduate experience within an engineering consultancy.
- The successful Water Quality Specialist will be experienced in communicating effectively and have the ability to prioritise and manage work load effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
