Senior Estimator (Relocate to Canada) Exciting opportunity for a Senior Estimator to relocate to Canada and join the Building Division of one of Canada’s Largest Main Contractors (Circa $3 Billion turnover annually) to work across a mixed portfolio of High-Rise, Commercial, Healthcare, Airport, Defense and Educational projects.
Duties:
- Manage a team of Estimators to ensure accurate estimation and subcontractor costing for large-scale projects ($200+ Million CAD), from budgeting to contract planning.
- Obtaining pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Analysing project documents and subcontractor needs.
- Identifying risks and opportunities for competitiveness.
- Collaborating with clients or consultants as needed.
- Creating project schedules for pricing.
- Leading estimate reviews and tender submissions.
- Assisting in post-tender submissions and negotiations.
- Supporting project development and preconstruction planning.
- Seeking opportunities through industry contacts.
- Maintaining databases for future reference.
- Generating conceptual estimates using historical data.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- 10 Years+ in Construction Estimation/Quantity Surveying for a Main Contractor in Ireland/UK.
- Experience working on project tenders with values €150 Million+.
- Experience with estimating techniques, tendering process and negotiating contracts.
- Ability to read and interpret construction related documents including plans, specifications, and other technical material.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- IT Skills: MS Office and Estimating/Quantity Surveying software packages
- Available to relocate permanently to Canada within 6-9 months.

- Salary $150,000 to $180,000 CAD (Circa €100k to €120k) + Vehicle allowance
