Senior Site Manager (Relocation to Canada)
A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Site Manager to move to Canada and become part of the Construction Division of one of Canada’s Top Main Contractors (approximately $3 Billion in annual revenue). This role involves managing a diverse range of projects, including High-Rise, Commercial, Healthcare, Airport, Defence, and Educational developments.
Responsibilities:
- Pre-Construction Oversight: Developing project timelines, determining resource needs, evaluating contracts, and selecting subcontractors.
- Construction Oversight: Managing day-to-day site activities, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget, organizing site logistics, upholding safety protocols, and liaising with key stakeholders.
- Post-Construction Activities: Overseeing warranty services, finalizing accounts, addressing outstanding issues, and managing site close-out.
- Team and Talent Development: Leading and mentoring site staff, aligning HR practices with company goals, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Business Development: Identifying new project opportunities and contributing to proposal development.
Qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma/Trade Qualification in Construction Management or Engineering.
- Over 10 years of experience in Construction/Site Management for a Main Contractor in Ireland/UK.
- Proven track record of managing projects worth over €100 Million.
- In-depth knowledge of construction practices and industry standards.
- Proficient in contract management, reading technical drawings, understanding specifications, and applying building codes.
- Strong skills in analysis, critical thinking, problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Plan Grid.
- Willingness to relocate to Canada permanently within 6-9 months.
Package:
- Salary ranging from $175,000 to $220,000 CAD (€120k to €150k) + Vehicle allowance.
